Aufschwung im Tourismus

Abstract

In der abgelaufenen Wintersaison sind die Ausländernächtigungen in Österreich um rund 6½% gestiegen. Der Schneemangel in ausländischen Konkurrenzgebieten sowie die Auswirkungen des internationalen Konjunkturaufschwungs trugen dazu bei, daß die Wachstumsrate deutlich über dem langfristigen Trend seit Mitte der siebziger Jahre lag. Für die Sommersaison 1989 ist die Tourismuswirtschaft optimistisch. Die Festigung der internationalen Konjunktur und die "Wiederentdeckung" der Alpenländer für den Sommerurlaub mit ihrer intakten Umwelt werden dazu beitragen, daß die Zuwächse stärker ausfallen werden als im Vorjahr.
