Österreichs Land- und Forstwirtschaft und die EG. Folgen der Integration im Überblick

Abstract

Die Landwirtschaft wäre von einer Integration Österreichs in den europäischen Binnenmarkt besonders betroffen, weil Agrarwaren bisher vom Freihandel zwischen Österreich und der EG ausgenommen waren und die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der österreichischen Landwirtschaft und Ernährungswirtschaft schwach ist. Zudem unterscheiden sich die Ziele und Instrumente der Agrarpolitik Österreichs und der EG. Bleiben flankierende Maßnahmen aus, muß die Landwirtschaft für den Fall der Teilnahme am Binnenmarkt aus heutiger Sicht mit Ertrags- und Einkommenseinbußen rechnen. Der entscheidende Vorteil der Integration ist der freie Marktzutritt.
