Preisdynamik, Einkommensverteilung und Wachstumsschwankungen im Welthandel

Abstract

Die erheblichen Schwankungen der Preise von Rohstoffen, insbesondere von Erdöl, prägten die Entwicklung der Weltwirtschaft in den siebziger und achtziger Jahren. Dies gilt nicht nur für die Verschiebung der Terms of Trade und damit der Welteinkommensverteilung, sondern auch für die Inflationsdynamik, die Schwankungen des Welthandels und die internationale Konjunktur. Aus dem Zusammenwirken dieser Entwicklungen im Rahmen des Güter- und Einkommenskreislaufs lassen sich die wichtigsten Probleme der Weltwirtschaft an der Schwelle der neunziger Jahre erklären, wie etwa die Schuldenkrise der Entwicklungsländer, die internationalen Handelsbilanzungleichgewichte oder die Instabilität des Dollars als Weltwährung.
