Deutliche Zunahme des Energieverbrauchs

Abstract

Seit dem Frühjahr 1989 wächst der Energieverbrauch kräftig. Im 1. Halbjahr wurde um 3,7% mehr Energie benötigt als im Jahr davor. Wären die Temperaturen im Winter nicht so mild gewesen, wäre der Verbrauchszuwachs noch größer ausgefallen. Die lebhafte Nachfrage erklärt sich vor allem mit der anhaltenden Hochkonjunktur, mit den starken Einkommensteigerungen und den weiterhin niedrigen Energiepreisen. Die Verbrauchsstruktur verschob sich zugunsten der Kohlenwasserstoffe und zuungunsten der übrigen Energieträger. Die heimische Energieproduktion war rückläufig, die Bezüge aus dem Ausland nahmen zu. Wegen größerer Importmengen und höherer Importpreise stieg die Belastung der Handelsbilanz deutlich.
