Sustainability and stability of enterprises in the Construction and Real Estate Operations sectors for the period 2008-2022

Abstract

Sustainability is the ability of enterprises to overcome various critical moments and crisis situations in the internal and/or external business environment, to preserve their viability and functionality and to adapt to changes in the environment, maintaining financial stability. The object of research is the Construction and Real Estate Operations sectors, and the subject of research is the sustainability and stability of the enterprises operating in the two sectors, measured by indicators such as: number of functioning enterprises, incl. by the number of persons employed in them, number of active, "newborn", surviving and "dead" enterprises, income, costs and efficiency. The author's goal is to study the sustainability and stability of enterprises operating in the Construction and Real Estate Operations sectors according to the indicators specified and, on this basis, to summarize conclusions and make recommendations regarding the ability of enterprises to withstand different by forces and nature external impacts, to maintain viability, functionality and financial stability. The main methods used are the methods of analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, description and comparison. Based on the analysis, conclusions are summarized, main problems are outlined and measures to overcome them are proposed.
