Abstract

Personnel management has always been a relevant topic and has especially intensified in recent years in the conditions of the Covid crisis and the war in the center of Europe. Now that we are talking about Industry 4.0 focused on the digitization of processes and the use of artificial intelligence to increase productivity, Industry 5.0 is already on the horizon, which will focus on the human factor and the person as the center of the production process. In this aspect, we cannot ignore the topic of personnel controlling, which, along with its control and audit components, will help to deal with modern requirements for human resources management. The main goal of personnel controlling is to create a mechanism for coordinating and optimizing activities within the personnel management system in a changing environment, aimed at developing human resources management to achieve the organization's goals, increase its economic and social efficiency, i.e. aimed at achieving a certain result in the management of the organization's personnel. A human resources audit includes actions to intensively examine policies, procedures and practices in the area of personnel selection, motivation, retention and training. It also identifies problems and finds solutions before problems become intractable. Speaking of personal audit or human resources audit, we must necessarily be based on internal control, and more precisely on its five components. The first of these components is the control environment, which contains and addresses, among other things, human resource management policies and practices and staff competence. Personnel control is understood as a system of internal company planning and control in the field of personnel, which helps to turn strategic settings into planned values and concrete measures, as well as to form the basic regulations for personnel management. It's like seeing Lee Iacocca in one of his famous quotes, sharing that all business operations can be boiled down to three words: people, product, profit, and if you don't have a good team, you can't do much with the other two .
