The Need for Sustainable Leadership in Contemporary Enterprises

Abstract

The report aims to create a clearer picture of the essence of "sustainable leadership" and how it can contribute to the sustainable development of modern business organizations. To achieve this goal, the economic aspect of "sustainability" has been considered, incl. environmental sustainability, business sustainability, enterprise sustainability and sustainability in human resource management, and linking to the need for leadership in the context of sustainable development goals. The concept of "sustainable leadership" is described, outlining its main characteristics and emphasizing the role of leaders in the realization of sustainability in the development of modern enterprises.
