Abstract

Among the main factors that lead to the search for alternative sources of energy are environmental pollution and global warming. In the context of the drive to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and protect the environment, biofuels are a major alternative to traditional fossil fuels. The paper, based on a descriptive-analytical approach, presents opportunities for the use of fruit and vegetable waste as a source of biomethane.
