Abstract

The following report examines the dynamics of the consumption of alcoholic beverages in The Republic of Bulgaria. The main groups of alcoholic beverages are summarized according to different factors. The change in the average purchased quantities by a single household in liters, as well as the development product prices within the period from 2001 to 2014, are both examined based on data from national statistics. Attention is dedicated also to various legal aspects and to changes in excise taxation of alcoholic beverages during that period.
