Abstract

By means of of intersectoral analysis, the clusters may be understood. Thus, important tools may be identified and used for the proper designing of economic policies. In this investigation the Czamanski model has been used with Argentine data and, by means of it, five clusters were identified. Then, based on the estimation of Hirschman linkages, some indicators were obtained in order to measure agrarian manufactures contribution to economic growth, as well as its participation in the generation of employment, foreing currency and tax revenues. The results show that the agrarian manufactures belonging to the cereal, leather and restaurant clusters have linkages higher than the average and agro industry contribution to GDP exceeds 16% and generates the 31.3% of the total amount of wages paid in the argentine economy
