Abstract

La ética es un tema de palpitante actualidad que genera expectativas y motiva a razonar e indagar en sus principios con el propósito de extraer conclusiones atinentes a sus relaciones fundamentales con la teoría y la práctica administrativa. El propósito del presente trabajo es presentar una sencilla exposición de las teorías más relevantes que puedan facilitar la comprensión de los aspectos éticos y morales inherentes a la administración de empresas. Se asume que la actual crisis de valores insta, como administradores, a enfocar la atención en los principios éticos que rigen nuestra profesión. Este llamado coloca, sin duda alguna, en posición de razonar y comprender la forma en que algunas de nuestras decisiones afectan a otros y cómo se ha de ponderar nuestras opciones en función de su impacto sobre los diversos grupos de interés y sobre la sociedad en general.
