Efectos de la migración venezolana sobre los salarios en Colombia

Abstract

Este trabajo analiza los efectos de la migración venezolana, incluyendo colombianos retornados, respecto de los salarios en Colombia con base en información de la Gran Encuesta Integrada de Hogares para el periodo 2013-2019. Tanto migrantes como nativos fueron clasificados según nivel educativo y experiencia laboral. Siendo que los trabajadores migrantes pueden desplazar a los nativos, se estima la magnitud del efecto desplazamiento por grupos a partir de modelos de regresión de efectos fijos. Los resultados sugieren un efecto muy bajo, significativo desde el punto de vista estadístico, no así desde el punto de vista técnico. Sin embargo, las elasticidades de sustitución estimadas muestran sustitución perfecta en algunos grupos. Respecto de los efectos acerca de salarios, los resultados señalan un impacto negativo de entre -6,01% y 0,03%, según grupo de trabajadores y periodo, siendo mayores en aquellos con perfecta elasticidad de sustitución.
