Estructura del mercado financiero

Abstract

En este trabajo se estudia la estructura de la industria financiera desde un punto de vista teórico, analizándose las características del equilibrio competitivo en el sistema financiero y bancario en un entorno no regulado. Para lograr este propósito se incorpora la tecnología multiproducto al modelo desarrollado por Fama, 1980, determinando la estructura y conducta que tendría el sector bajo diferentes supuestos acerca de la tecnología de la función de producción. También se analizan los posibles efectos que puedan tener cierto tipo de regulación sobre el equilibrio competitivo del sistema financiero.
