Un análisis empírico de la demanda por trabajo del sector industrial chileno 1974-1982

Abstract

En este trabajo se presenta una breve síntesis del debate sobre la dinámica de ajuste del mercado laboral. Así se revisan los principales argumentos de los enfoques neoclásico tradicional y keynesiano, señalándose que este último marco proporciona una mejor aproximación al estudio de la demanda por trabajo del sector industrial. Una vez derivado un modelo de demanda que incorpora ajuste parcial y diversos mecanismos de formación de expectativas se procede a estimarlo por medio de métodos econométricos alternativos cuyos resultados permiten establecer las ventajas de la aproximación elegida.
