We’re All in This Together: Collaborative Approaches to Create Societal Impact

Abstract

“We need to collaborate,” began Dr. Jane Goodall—a global icon and UN Messenger of Peace known for her lifelong work protecting chimpanzees, people, and our planet—in her 2024 UNESCO address to youth changemakers, scientists, organizers, and policymakers. Dr. Goodall continued: “We need to get together, we need countries and individuals to work together to make this a better world.” In this spirit, we assembled this special issue of the Journal of the Association for Consumer Research dedicated to collaborative approaches to create positive societal impact.
