Yayınlar ve Atıflar Üzerine Nüfus ve GSYH Ekseninde Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Bilimsel verimlilik göstergeleri olarak kabul edilen bilimsel yayın ve atıf sayılarının 1996 ile 2014 yılları arasında büyüme oranları ve nüfus ile ilişkisini incelemek bu çalışmanın konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Makalede, gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan 20 ülkeyi kapsayacak şekilde, ülkelerin nüfusları, GSYH düzey ve büyümeleri ve özellikle iktisat, ekonometri ve finans alanındaki yayın ve atıf sayıları karşılaştırılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonucunda ülke grupları bakımından farklı trendler olduğu görülmektedir. Gelişmiş ülkeler ivme kaybederken, gelişmekte olan ülkelerde özellikle Çin, Hindistan, Brezilya ve Türkiye’de, 1996 ile 2014 dönemini karşılaştırdığımızda, nüfus ve GSYH ile birlikte atıf yapılmış yayın sayılarında yüksek oranlı artışlar göze çarpmaktadır.
