Abstract

The leadership trait may create an encouragement factor in making the performance and innovativeness of employees apparent and ensuring its continuity. In improving employee performance (EP) and strengthening organizational innovation culture, the entrepreneurial leadership (EL) type stands out. Beyond its impact on innovation as a modern leadership style, the effects of GL on organizations are not well understood. In particular, the results of employees’ innovative behavior on their individual performance have not been sufficiently evaluated. Within this scope, determining if there is a moderated role of self-efficacy (SE) in the impact of EL on performance and innovative work behaviors (IWB) of employees by means of psychological empowerment (PE) has been examined. The research population is composed of the employees of private hospitals in Kayseri province in Türkiye. In this study, 488 employees were analyzed using the questionnaire. Confirmatory factor analysis was used to ensure the structural validity of the research model. Pearson Correlation analysis was used to reveal the relationship between variables, and regression analysis was used to test hypotheses. The moderating role of self-efficacy (Model-1) and the mediating effect of psychological empowerment (Model-4) were examined using the process macro method. Based on the analysis results, it was concluded that EL was significantly and positively correlated with all variables. It was found that the effects of EL on IWB (β = 0,0635) and EP (β = 0,0146) were mediated by PE, whereas SE had a moderated role (β = 0,068, p
