Abstract

Generative Artificial tools are prolific though their utility for academic writing or creating journal ready manuscripts is unclear. With the general goal of understanding how these AI tools such as ChatGPT might be used for academic writing in Marketing, I try to replicate a published review article using ChatGPT version Plus prompts. Using my observations of the tool's responses to my prompts, I provide strengths and weaknesses and implications for usage of Generative AI tools for academic writing in Marketing.
