Abstract

The authors’ scientific endeavor aims at emphasizing the main trend in measuring and assessing the higher education financing system by means of indicators. The paper emphasizes the need to use indicators in the process of financing higher education and the role of the main actors in the process of financing this level. At the same time, this research includes aspects regarding the shared element in terms of the methodology used in creating and using a system of indicators which will capture the main aspects of the financing system. The characteristics of calculating these indicators are presented, so that new action lines may be identified in order to improve the use of financial resources in the field of education.
