Abstract

One of the financial security priorities of the economy is to ensure the stability and credibility of the banking sector. The complexity of the banking sector and the multifacetedness of its structure of operations mean that there are still areas that are insufficiently identified and investigated and leave their mark on security. Undoubtedly, one of such areas is the fast-growing segment of broadly understood credit intermediation. The years 2008–2009 showed that offering subprimes (subprime loans / subprime mortgages) can be crucial to the health of the entire banking sector.
