А.И.Герцена, факультет истории и социальных наук.Адрес: 191186, Санкт‐Петербург, Набережная реки Мойки, 48.Статья посвящена изучению феномена специальных каталогов учебных книг для средних учебных заведений, издававшихся Министерством народного просвещения. На протяжении второй половины XIX-начала XX в. шел интенсивный процесс выработки принципов их составления, оптимальной структуры и периодичности выхода. Рецензированием учебной литературы и составлением каталогов занимался Ученый комитет министерства. Он был призван стать своеобразным фильтром, не пропускавшим в среднюю школу непрофессиональные сочинения, слабые в научном или педагогическом отношении. Однако, несмотря на все усилия и большой объем проделанной работы, обеспечить использование в практике преподавания по всей империи только рекомендованных учебников министерству так и не удалось.
