L’économie politique de l’Asie : état des lieux et perspectives de recherche pour l’Asie du Sud-Est

Abstract

Les pays asiatiques et sud-est asiatiques ont connu de grandes transformations socioéconomiques depuis la fin de la seconde guerre mondiale. Ces transformations se caractérisent par la mise en place de régimes capitalistes, par de forts taux de croissance associés à un poids démographique considérable et par des phénomènes d’urbanisation. L’analyse de ces pays présente donc un grand intérêt pour la théorie économique, et en particulier pour la théorie de la régulation. Premièrement, elle confirme l’hypothèse de diversité des trajectoires nationales. Deuxièmement, elle montre que la géographie, à l’égal de l’histoire, offre les outils nécessaires à l’économiste pour comprendre des territoires marqués par les phénomènes transnationaux. Enfin, elle permet d’extraire des faits stylisés pour amender son appareillage théorique.
