Abstract

The paper presents the characteristics of the transmission mechanism of monetary policy (TMM) and methods of research in the different economic schools. We describe the common aspects and differences in the views of various authors on the TMM; shows that the study of TMM in emerging economies, including in Russia, complicated by a number of circumstances. It required to not only to make an empirical analysis of the dynamics and interactions of macroeconomic variables, but also to work out a theoretical understanding of the mechanisms of influence on the basis of existing developments.
