Abstract

Dramatic growth of unconventional gas production in US and a major increase in liquefied natural gas supply to the global gas market are changing the existing trade patterns. The article discusses challenges that these new trends bring to Russia’s gas exports. The author concluded that Russia’s gas exports will keep good prospects only in case of significant increase in Russian gas competitiveness.
