Praxeology, Value Judgments, and Public Policy

Abstract

Ethics is a discipline, or, as we say in classical philosophy, the "science" of what purpose people d?lzhno and what not d?lzhno pursue. All people have a system of values ??and makes a positive or negative value judgments about things, people or events. Ethics - a discipline that defines the criteria for a moral critique of value judgments. In the end - or such discipline exists, causing the possibility of a rational or objective ethical system, or value judgments of each individual are purely arbitrary and based on personal preferences. I ought not to try to solve here is one of the fundamental questions of philosophy. But even if you believe, as I believe I have, in the existence of ethics as an objective science, and even if you go ahead and attribute ethical judgments to the competence of the historian or social scientist, one thing is certain: praxeology, economic theory, may not in itself SLN live basis for ethical suzh tions .
