Abstract
Introduction. The analysis of the reasons influencing the pricing policy in the Donetsk People’s Republic is relevant to ensuring economic stability, maintaining local production, and improving the living standards of the population in an unstable political and social situation. In the context of conflict and international isolation, companies in the Donetsk People’s Republic face unique challenges, such as limited access to resources and markets. This requires a special approach to pricing and market entry strategy. The article aims to substantiate the dialectical relationship between pricing policy and the region’s economic development at the theoretical level and determine the regulatory content of the Donetsk People’s Republic’s pricing policy at the methodological level. Materials and methods. The study materials included articles from periodical peer-reviewed journals and studies in economics devoted to price policy and its factors. Methods included quantitative analysis of statistical data, SWOT analysis, and modeling. Results. In recent years, the republic has seen positive trends in trade. This is evidenced by the growth of wholesale and retail turnover and the expansion of large trading enterprises’ networks. The consumer market is filled with goods from domestic producers. Based on the essence of pricing policy, its most important directions, and principles of formation, the authors proposed a scientific and methodological approach to the development of the enterprise’s pricing policy. Conclusion. In the context of the unstable political and economic situation in the region, analyzing the impact of external factors (e.g., sanctions, international trade) on pricing policy can be an important area for further research. The results of the analysis can be used to form a more effective state pricing policy to stabilize the economy, fight inflation, and support the population.
