Abstract

The state of the Russian economy essentially depends on the development of the oil and gas complex. The leading company in the industry is Rosneft PJSC, which includes several of the country's largest companies engaged in drilling and oil production. The article was tasked with analyzing these companies, evaluating the development dynamics of companies engaged in developing mature and new fields, and identifying common features. The forecasting of the main indicators of the financial status of oil companies was carried out using correlation and regression analysis. Oil companies representing a homogeneous group were identified, which would allow developing a single financial policy for them. The optimum dependence of the return on sales from the specific capital investments was estimated. Prediction of the financial condition of oil companies was carried out separately for companies developing mature fields and new ones. Forecasts were developed for comparing the rate of change in revenue and cost, which made it possible to estimate the change in profit. The ratio of the rate of change of own and borrowed capital gave a forecast of changes in financial stability. These recommendations can be used in the development of development plans for companies.
