Abstract

Una restricción de los modelos lineales de expectativas racionales es que no siempre tienen una solución cerrada. A pesar de ello, es instructivo obtener una solución numérica del modelo estocástico. Esta contribución expone el mecanismo de la politica monetaria óptima discrecional bajo incertidumbre en términos de un sistema lineal de expectativas racionales. Para ello, tomamos en cuenta el modelo de Clarida, et al. (1999), reproducirnos su solución analitica, aunque también mostramos algunos resultados numéricos del modelo para determinados valores de los parámetros. La caracterización de la politica monetaria óptima de un banco central adverso de la inflación o amante de la producción-empleo es posible gracias a las funciones impulso-respuesta para un choque negativo de oferta agregada de un nivel de persistencia alto o bajo.
