Abstract

This paper discusses the integration of two important elements in relation to the sustainable development management: (1) the economic valuation of environmental services; and (2) designing, quantifying, and evaluation of development by means of indicators. The objective is to describe these elements taking into account the importance of information in the decision process, as well as its importance for promoting the sustainable development.
