Percepción de la resiliencia al cambio climático: Caso de estudio productores cafetaleros de Zaruma

Abstract

El cambio climático es un problema a nivel mundial. El impacto que ocasiona en todos los sectores cada vez es mayor, entre ellos se encuentra el sector agrícola, cuya producción depende en forma directa del clima. El objetivo de nuestra investigación es evaluar la percepción de resiliencia al cambio climático de los productores de café de Zaruma. La investigación es de tipo exploratoria y descriptiva, se emplearon los métodos analítico – sintético y deductivo, para el levantamiento de información se empleó un cuestionario a 252 agricultores dedicados al cultivo de café. Los resultados demostraron que los caficultores consideran que el calentamiento global afecta el crecimiento y producción de las plantaciones cafetaleras, en vista de esto gran parte de los caficultores por iniciativa propia han procedido a tomar medidas para incrementar la resiliencia en los cultivos, entre ellas están: renovar las plantaciones, sembrar plantas para generar sombra, incorporar sistemas de riego.
