Seeing the Forest for the Trees - The Taming of Big Data

Abstract

Due to the quantity of data from hundreds of sources, it is important for companies to identify important elements of data and create programs that use it to positively impact a business. A useful tool to identify key aspects of data is data visualization. Data visualization tools can be used translate data into actionable insights to identify important factors, trends, and outliers. After the important elements are uncovered, the IT and Marketing teams can work together, using the agile methodology to impact change. IT and Marketing can use the agile process to effectively produce workable solutions quickly and efficiently by simplifying and speeding up the process of analyzing big data.
