Economía en enseñanza secundaria: ¿qué, cómo y para qué enseñar? Pensando una propuesta didáctica heterodoxa

Abstract

Este trabajo presenta una propuesta didáctica alternativa en la enseñanza de la economía a nivel de educación secundaria, implementada desde el año 2012 hasta el presente en algunos liceos de Montevideo, Uruguay. A partir de una revisión crítica del programa oficial y de los manuales tradicionales, se diseñó un curso heterodoxo que procura desarrollar en los estudiantes una mirada plural de la disciplina, potenciando la formación académica así como la construcción de ciudadanía. La propuesta gira en torno a tres pilares: la discusión y contrastación transversal de los enfoques liberal, marxista y keynesiano, la centralidad del aprendizaje activo mediante la resolución de problemas, y la jerarquización de los contenidos macroeconómicos en relación a los microeconómicos. Se concluye que la enseñanza de la economía a partir de metodologías activas de trabajo y como una ciencia social en la cual coexisten distintos paradigmas en conflicto, enriquece el potencial formativo de la disciplina y genera mayor motivación hacia su aprendizaje
