Hipótesis de endogeneidad monetaria en una economía dolarizada: el caso ecuatoriano (2015-2018)

Abstract

El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo analizar las bases teóricas de la corriente postkeynesiana correspondientes a la hipótesis de endogeneidad monetaria y establecer sus ajustes a una economía dolarizada como el caso ecuatoriano. A través, de la metodología de variables instrumentales se corrige la endogeneidad econométrica causada por la simultaneidad entre nivel de liquidez y cartera crediticia de los bancos comerciales, utilizando como instrumento el promedio de la tasa de interés máxima referencial establecida por la Junta de Política Monetaria y Financiera. El principal resultado obtenido fue el cumplimiento de la hipótesis de endogeneidad monetaria bajo los supuestos postkeynesianos horizontalistas en una economía dolarizada como el caso ecuatoriano.
