El PT en el gobierno brasileño: un balance del cambio en las posibilidades de desarrollo del país

Abstract

Este trabajo parte de la idea de que la reproducción del subdesarrollo brasileño se explica por la persistencia de un conjunto de elementos que operan como obstáculos de carácter estructural, a los que nos referimos con el nombre de límites estructurales al desarrollo económico. Se trata de elementos referidos tanto a la debilidad productiva, la demanda agregada, y la distribución de la renta, que históricamente se refuerzan entre sí dificultando el proceso de acumulación y las trasformaciones estructurales que podrían desencadenar el necesario proceso de desarrollo en el país. Desde esta perspectiva, y a la luz de las esperanzas de cambio que despertó la llegada del PT al gobierno, el artículo propone un análisis que evalúe hasta qué punto se ha avanzado sustancialmente en la superación de dichos obstáculos al desarrollo. En definitiva, el objetivo es analizar los logros económicos del gobierno progresista desde una perspectiva estructural.
