Abstract

En este artículo se analizan los efectos de género de la crisis, y de manera especial en España. Recoge los últimos datos estadísticos reflejados en el mercado de trabajo y señala las principales características de la vida laboral femenina que hacen a las mujeres especialmente vulnerables. En este sentido, se valora también el impacto de la situación económica en las mujeres inmigradas y en las menores de 25 años. En una perspectiva más amplia, se considera la tendencia que sigue el sector público hacia la privatización de servicios básicos y la restricción que sufren las políticas “amigas de las mujeres” como la “Ley de la Dependencia”. Un apartado que consideramos especialmente interesante introduce los efectos de la vida laboral en la salud desde el género. Finalmente, se apuntan algunas las tendencias sobre el empleo de las mujeres que, según la OIT, cabe esperar en el futuro y se proponen posibles alternativas de género frente a la crisis.
