Abstract

ABSTRACT: In recent decades, industrial districts and clusters are the subject of study by researchers worldwide. However, despite its growing importance, there is a lack of previous literature review work. This gap advises us to perform a content analysis of the academic research done so far. To proceed, we have selected the main Spanish scientific journals of Geography. We have obtained a database composed by 69 contributions, in which we have studied the evolution of its scientific nature, research groups and/or universities, the research agenda and methodology.
