Abstract
ABSTRACT The aim of this work is to analyze University funding in the Spanish regions, in order to show the differences among them, as well as the reasons that could have originated these discrepancies. For it, it has been shown the main indicators of University funding in Spain by region. The authors establish the importance of expenses of the public Universities attend them grouped for regions and they sign how this situation has changed after the expansion and democratization of Higher Education in Spain in the last decade. We conclude that resources invested in Higher Education Institutions have increased enormously in this period. However, the differences among regions in this financial subject have grown in the last decade.
