Manufacturas y servicios en la RMB, cambios en la estructura espacial de su empleo

Abstract

RESUMEN Este trabajo presenta un estudio estático y dinámico de la estructura espacial del empleo en Manufacturas y Servicios de la Región Metropolitana de Barcelona (RMB) desde 1986 a 2001. Los objetivos son verificar, en primer lugar, la existencia de diferencias en las pautas de localización entre estos dos sectores, y, en segundo lugar, el diferente impacto producido por la descentralización del empleo. Los resultados obtenidos confirman estáticamente la existencia de un modelo policéntrico en ambos sectores. No obstante, dinámicamente este policentrismo está evolucionando de diferente forma: mientras que el policentrismo de los Servicios está fortaleciéndose, el de las Manufacturas está debilitándose. ABSTRACT This paper presents a static and dynamic study of the spatial structure of Manufacture and Services employment of the Barcelona Metropolitan Region (BMR) from 1986 to 2001. The aims are to verify, firstly, the existence of differences on location patterns among these sectors, and, secondly, the different impact produced by employment decentralisation. The obtained results statically confirm the existence of a polycentric model in both sectors. However, while dynamically the Services polycentrism is strengthening, the Manufacture one is worsening.
