Abstract

ABSTRACT The objective of this paper is the study of income inequality in Spain and Autonomous Communities using different parametric specifications. In particular, two robust models based on the quantile functions are used: the gamma and beta quantile functions. Empirically we have used the information contained in the European Community Household Panel (ECHP). Also, the sensitivity of the results is analyzed using different equivalence scales.
