Abstract
ABSTRACT The changes produced in the tourist demand and the necessity of the own territories to diversify their productive structure, improving the opportunities for the generation of use and wealth for the rural population, have turned to the nature tourism an instrument of first magnitude for the socioeconomic development of most of the Andalusian natural parks. On the contrary, in the present situation, the nonexistence of planning mechanisms and active management of the tourist development of these spaces threaten causing serious impacts on the territories in which it is developed, and, consequently, squandering good part of the opportunities that the tourism offers the natural parks. It is necessary, therefore, to confront a new stage, characterized by an proactive approach in the treatment of the tourism on the part of the managers of the Andalusian natural parks. Nevertheless, for it, it is necessary, first, that these managers (specially, the director-conservatives) assume the values of the tourism like instrument to the service of the development, and, even, of the conservation, these spaces. And, second, to have specialists in tourism who assume this management. In this work, the position of the present managers of the andalusian natural parks with respect to both circumstances is analyzed, considering, finally, the functions that could assume this new figure of tourist manager, and which they would be arranged to admit the directorconservatives of the natural parks.
