Las reformas del mercado de trabajo en Estados Unidos (1973-2013) y sus impactos sobre la desigualdad de ingresos

Abstract

El propósito del artículo es mostrar la evolución del mercado de trabajo de los Estados Unidos en el periodo 1973-2013, realizando un análisis detallado de las reformas laborales más relevantes llevadas a cabo y evaluando su impacto sobre la desigualdad de ingresos. La hipótesis de trabajo básica que se tratará de documentar es que los distintos presidentes a lo largo del período investigado no han articulado políticas de progreso para los trabajadores estadounidenses. Según nuestra interpretación, a partir de los años ochenta del siglo XX, se produjo en Estados Unidos un cambio en el paradigma económico y este nuevo modelo económico y su proyección al ámbito laboral ha repercutido en la desigualdad de ingresos.
