La nueva gerencia pública y su aplicabilidad en la administración pública costarricense

Abstract

La Administración Pública como base técnico-política en la cual cimientan su accionar los gobiernos democráticos mantiene implícitas una serie de características que desde sus inicios han sido materia de análisis para todos aquellos interesados en la mejora del Aparato Estatal. La Nueva Gerencia Pública surge como corriente teórica y técnica que busca coadyuvar en dicha transformación, tomando en consideración el modelo de trabajo y procedimientos empleados en la administración privada. No obstante lo anterior, son muchos los profesionales que aún se debaten en cuanto al verdadero génesis de dicha corriente, significado, rango de aplicación y efectos; por lo que el debate continúa abierto, fortaleciendo la manera en que incluso las organizaciones internacionales propician un ambiente para su implementación en los países Iberoamericanos.
