¿Es posible la creación de empresas de base tecnológica, en Costa Rica? Un análisis desde el enfoque de la Tercera Misión

Abstract

Durante los siglos XX y XXI Costa Rica ha alcanzado un desarrollo económico y social importante, pero ¿serán suficientes éstos logros para enfrentar el actual entorno económico mundial? ¿existen las condiciones y las capacidades para la innovación? Costa Rica tiene notas satisfactorias respecto al desarrollo económico, humano e institucional; no obstante, en cuanto a la infraestructura productiva, científica y tecnológica, los resultados no son los más favorables al desarrollo tecnológico y a la innovación. La investigación científica y tecnológica y la ¿innovación? en Costa Rica tienen un importante componente público y trasnacional.
