Alianzas estratégicas: ¿Adquisición o acceso al conocimiento?

Abstract

En años recientes, las alianzas estratégicas han llamado considerablemente la atención del campo estratégico. Una alianza estratégica puede ser vista como un término medio entre el mercado y la organización jerárquica. Este artículo examina la teoría de acceso al conocimiento de Grant y Baden-Fuller, quienes argumentan que el desarrollo de una efectiva teoría basada en el conocimiento de la formación de las alianzas se ha visto inhibida por una visión simplista de ellas como medios para el aprendizaje organizacional; sin embargo, la principal ventaja de las alianzas sobre las firmas y los mercados es el acceso más que la adquisición de conocimiento.
