Comparación metodológica de encuestas vía telefonía fija y celular en Costa Rica

Abstract

El presente artículo presenta los resultados de un estudio en el que se compara la metodología de trabajo con entrevistas a teléfono celular y teléfono fijo. Los hallazgos del estudio serán útiles para decidir la conveniencia de emplear en futuras encuestas cualquiera de los dos medios o una combinación de ambos. El estudio destaca que no existen diferencias significativas en cuanto al tiempo requerido para realizar una entrevista en uno u otro medio, pero sí en relación con su costo. Además, el análisis de la disponibilidad de entrevistados no generó grandes diferencias entre los medios y concluyó que la mayor disponibilidad de las personas es entre semana, en las noches y los sábados en la tarde. El estudio logra definir las diferencias en el perfil sociodemográfico de los usuarios de ambas tecnologías, así como señalar problemas en comunicación, tasas de rellamadas, no respuesta, intereses y preferencias entre los usuarios de ambas tecnologías.
