Abstract

El Índice de Competitividad Global (GCI) es un instrumento utilizado para expresar en términos numéricos la competitividad de un país. El índice está formado por doce pilares entre los que se destaca la educación superior y la capacitación. En lo que respecta a Costa Rica, este pilar muestra que existen importantes ventajas con respecto a países como Chile, Panamá y México; sin embargo, hay otra serie de aspectos dentro del mismo en los que se debe mejorar para lograr un crecimiento equilibrado.
