Abstract

El presente trabajo muestra una serie de variables e indicadores empresariales que ofrecen un panorama general de las micro, pequeñas y medianas empresas (mipymes) de varios distritos y cantones de la región Pacífico Central: Puntarenas, Barranca, Chacarita, El Roble, Esparza, Montes de Oro, Orotina y Jacó. Se miden variables tales como: tipo de actividad, nivel de ingreso, años de la empresa, procesos administrativos, utilización de tecnología, necesidades de capacitación, entre otras. El trabajo tiene como objetivo diagnosticar la situación empresarial de las mipymes con el fin de identificar debilidades y fortalezas que permitan desarrollar estrategias para incrementar su competitividad.
