Abstract

(Behavioral economics is said to have the potential to provide insight about moral behavior and justice principles by including psychological and behavioral factors to the economic and social analysis. This potential of behavioral economics is critically challenged in this text. It is argued that the contribution to the further development of ethical considerations and social policy is very limited since behavioral economics analyzes exclusively individual behavior and therefore does not account for the struc-tural problems regarding the arrangement of social institutions.)
