Abstract

[eng] The incorporation of forecasting data in measuring operational risk . The Basel 2 agreement and its requirements concerning the implementation of an Advanced Measurement Approach (AMA) for operational risk impose the use of forecasting data. Basel 2 also requests to insert this risk into the management’s processes. Moreover, using forecasting data to manage operational risk usefully completes historical data as much as they do not introduce the same characteristics and can be generated in a more complete way. This article presents the method and its main characteristics used by BNP Paribas to insert forecasting data into the measurement of operational risk. It will be compared with regulation requirements to show its adequacy. . . Classification JEL : G21, G28, K23
