Abstract

[eng] In 1987 Renault and PSA worked out common and specific procedures «Assurance Qualité Fournisseur» which are the key stone of their policy for working with their supplier firms. The rapid spread through Europe during the last few years of certification based on ISO 9000 norms has incited them to incorporate the demands of the latter into their criteria for evaluating the quality of theirs suppliers, and to sign with other European car manufacturers agreements recognising each other's audit systems. This evolution reinforces demands placed on their direct and indirect suppliers.
